This is just one verse that compels us to adopt. Adoption is obviously not for everyone, but it's for us...on Christmas I was wondering if it would be our last Christmas as just a couple; wondering if in 2013 we'd have a couple little ones to buy gifts for and bless. The truth is, our kids are already out there, alive...waiting for us to adopt them. I pray that God helps us through this journey - from paperwork and fundraising to choosing and praying for a couple boys we don't even know yet.
So, walking past your Christmas card, Breanne says just the other day. "Mom, who are they waiting for?" It obvious, I forgot to mention to the girls the news that you want to adopt 2 kids from Ethiopia. Breanne's eyes lit up! "Girls?" After informing her that your plan is to adopt 2 boys, her shoulders dropped. Apparently, her plan and your plan don't align. However, what's most important is that your plan aligns with God's!

Hilarious! I love it, who knows, maybe we will get a girl, 2 boys is the thought, but God's plans are not our plans :)
